Twi is a widely spoken Akan language primarily used in Ghana. It belongs to the Kwa branch of Niger-Congo languages and has approximately 9 million speakers, making it one of the most prominent native languages in Ghana. Twi consists of several dialects, including Asante (Ashanti) and Fante, each with slight variations but mutually intelligible.
